A Knitter's Home Companion

So, I'm In the middle of a really awesome book right now by Michelle Edwards, "A Knitter's Home Companion"  and  have to say that I am totally enjoying it...it taps into my right into my homebody persona and a chock full of stories, recipes, book recommendations, and of course like most knitting books, patterns.  I guess I was first attracted to this book because I like clean, simple well written patterns that don't take a bazillion years to read/figure out/complete.  I'm just not big on fussiness...and this book delivers.

I highly recommend this book, check it out!

Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival

...is this weekend, May 7th and 8th!

Treat yourself or the mother in your life to some beautiful, lovely wool!  There are tons of vendors, demonstrations, workshops, activities and story times for the kids, a parade of sheep breeds, even a wool fashion show!!
